Feeling rested lets now continue the journey from New Mexico into Arizona for the next stage of our Mother Road experience.
Rise early as you have lot of sightseeing whilst you cover the 300 miles to Holbrook. If you have time visit the Petrified Forest National Park where the trees have been crystallised over millions of years into quartz stone. Once you arrive at Holbrook you will stay in the Wigwam Village which was created as a novelty in the 1940s and is still run by the same family. This is only one of three remaining Wigwam villages that are worth staying in. You will be staying in one of the unique concrete teepees which have been refurbished to modern standards:

Everybody has to visit Las Vegas once in a lifetime so if you have not experienced the glitter of this desert metropolis before then we would advice spending 3 nights here, otherwise spend 2. The journey from the Grand Canyon National Park is around 300 miles via the U.S.93 just north of Kingman. If you want the best then book Bellagio on the strip or try Planet Hollwood if you have a more moderate budget. Be sure to book this great hotel on the strip for 2 or 3 days:

Your penultimate night you will be staying in Barstow on East main street which was part of the original Route 66. Good photo shoots at the old Route 66 motel which I believe is up for sale. Hope to make this hotel available soon for your trip when it is modernised. Remember to take an excursion to the Calico Ghost Town if you have not already done this.
